Did you know that the new directive on the protection of plants, No. 2016/2031/EU became effective on 14 December 2019⏱? Plants now have to have a plant passport ✈️. 12.

And what plants does the requirement apply to?

All plants designated for planting must be labelled with the following information:

top left corner: EU flag (colour or black and white)
top right corner: the word “Plant Passport”
“A” + botanical name
“B” + ISO code of the member country, hyphen, and phytosanitary registration number (9 numbers)
“C” + traceability code
“D” + ISO code of the country of origin / production.
